The Revenge of Shinobi joins SEGA Forever initiative on Google Play Store

The SEGA Forever initiative has just added a new title to the collection of classic SEGA games now available on smartphones: The Revenge of Shinobi. Although most of the games included in the collection are not running well as we explained in a previous post, hardcore SEGA fans might want to give the new game a try.

The Revenge of Shinobi is a free to play side-scrolling beat’em up. According to SEGA, the game features wireless Bluetooth controller support, and allow players to play offline unlike other titles in the classic games collection.

The comes with four levels of difficulty, from beginner to master ninja, as well as eight districts, each with its own unique boss battle. Throughout the game, players will be able to collect shuriken to take out enemies from afar and discover secret power-ups hidden across many levels of the game.

Even though it’s meant to offer fluent gameplay experience, The Revenge of Shinobi allows players to save their game progress at any time, which means SEGA managed to optimize it for short gaming sessions.

Keep in mind that while The Revenge of Shinobi is free to play, the game is ad-supported. Of course, you can get rid of the ads via in-app purchase.
