The rumor mill has been suggesting that Sony will unveil three smartphones at this year’s IFA. Now, a Russian publication called mobiltelefon.ru claims the Japanese company will introduce another smartphone at the event.
Dubbed as the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, its renders and specs have been revealed by the publication. The smartphone is said to come to with a standard 5.5-inch full HD display with the resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. Under its hood, the phone is speculated to be powered by a MediaTek MT6757 aka Helio P20 processor. The chipset is clubbed with 4GB of RAM.
Storage-wise, the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus is likely to offer 32GB of native storage space. On the optics front, the smartphone is rumored to feature a 23MP rear-facing main camera as well as a 5MP selfie camera at the front.
On the software front, the device could arrive pre-installed with Android Nougat, which should be later updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.
Talking about the battery aspect, the Xperia XA1 Plus is tipped to pack a 3,430mAh battery. It is worth noting, this battery would be the largest ever battery unit used in a Sony smartphone.
As yet, there is no information available on the price of this handset. Judging from the specs, it will probably be a mid-ranger.
The renders reveal that the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus will be offered in four color variants; Black, Blue, Gold and Pink.
As far as the authenticity of this report, well it is questionable. It is quite unusual that despite the rise in leaks and rumors, we are hearing about this Sony smartphone for the very first time.
