Playdemic’s Golf Clash strikes up $1.1 million in a single day | Pocket Gamer.biz

UK studio Playdemic’s hit game Golf Clashgenerated record sales of $1.1 million in a single day on July 4th.

As reported by BusinessCloud, the developer is now said to be targeting revenues of more than $100 million this year alone following the success of the title.

Playdemic CEO Paul Gouge said the landmark was a “massive achievement” for the studio. He added that around 60% of Golf Clash players come from the US, where much of the sales for its record day were likely to emanate from as people celebrated Independence Day on July 4th.

Hole in one

“A lot of hard work goes into finding the perfect recipe but ultimately it has to surprise and delight the audience,” said Gouge.

“That’s what Golf Clash does and I’m so proud of the team at Playdemic.”

Golf Clash isn’t Playdemic’s only game, it has previously released titles such as Gourmet Ranch, Gang Nations and Village Life.

The studio was acquired by TT Games in February 2017. Following that deal, the developer is currently at work on new mobile games based on the LEGO IP, which TT Games has had huge success with on other platforms.
