Speculation has the Meizu PRO 7 powered by the MediaTek Helio X30 SoC carrying a deca-core CPU. The chip brings a 35% improvement in performance while consuming half as much energy as the Helio X20 chip. The PowerVR 7XTP-MT4 GPU is also included.
As we told you on Sunday, the buzz around the water cooler has the phone priced at the equivalent of $480 USD. We might also see a Meizu PRO 7 Plus version priced at the equivalent of $555. The premium model could be powered by the Exynos 8895 chipset. This is the same SoC that powers Sammy’s flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the majority of the markets where they are sold. It should also be found driving the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the same markets.
Circle July 26th on your calendar. That is the date when Meizu officially takes the wraps off of the PRO 7 (and PRO 7 Plus?). And on that date, we should find out everything pertaining to the specs, pricing and availability of the phone(s).
