iPhone 8 Tipped to Be Delayed Till End of 2017, May Be Unveiled on September 17

iPhone 8 leaks are getting denser by the day, as September nears, however clarity on the Touch ID integration is still a mystery. Now, a fresh report claims that delay in the iPhone 8 shipment is inevitable, and we won’t see the smartphone in the market before the end of the year. Furthermore, the report adds that the iPhone 8 will come with facial recognition, and the rumoured Touch ID embedding in the power button is not going to be possibility after all.

All of this comes from Japanese blog Macokatara, which claims that the premium iPhone model will be delayed till the end of the year, possibly late October or early November. Furthermore the report adds that the “initial sale period has a high possibility to be limited.” The report also claims that there won’t be any White colour option, as rumoured previously, and that the Touch ID inside the power button is unlikely. Facial recognition, however, is very likely to be integrated. It is expected to be called Face ID and it “assembles a rainbow colour certificate and a 3D facial recognition certificate.”

While the report claims there will be no White variant, it fails to mention which colours will make it to the list. It does, however note that the front frame will be Black only, indicating colour options will be very few with the iPhone 8.
