Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro allegedly leak in official renders


The Huawei Mate 10 series has thus far proven to be quite the head-scratcher: so far we’ve heard of at least three different models — Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, and Mate 10 Lite — but there is allegedly a fourth one (code name Marcel) as well, though we know next to nothing about it. And to further complicate the matter, the Mate 10 Lite seems to have already been made official under a completely different name, even though the series’ launch event is set for October 16.

And while this leaves plenty of room for potential leaks of the series, we’ve yet to see any actual images of the 10 and 10 Pro — until now, that is. French website Les Numeriques claims to have obtained a set of leaked promotional images (which to us look like screencaps from an introduction video) of the duo, complete with some key specifications.

Design-wise, things look pretty similar to what older leaks suggested: the Mate 10 will feature a large, 16:9 screen that’s curved at the edges but has no rounded corners, while its larger Pro sibling will go for a slimmer 18:9 aspect ratio instead. Below them you’ll find either a front-facing fingerprint scanner on the Mate 10, or Huawei’s logo on the Mate 10 Pro.

On the back you’ll find the dual-camera system on both devices, with the Pro sporting a fingerprint sensor right below it. One design detail we haven’t seen before is the thick strip surrounding the camera on the Pro, similarly to the one found on the P10.
