Fix “Cannot Connect to App Store” in iOS 11 on iPhone or iPad


When I opened the App Store on my iPhone, the app refused to load up, saying “Cannot Connect to App Store.” I forced quit the app and rebooted my iOS 11 device but the error couldn’t be solved. Hence, I had to dig a bit deeper to get it fixed.

Solution #1: Manually Set the Date and Time

Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iOS device → Tap on General.

Step #2. Next, you need to tap on Date & Time.

Step #3. Now, turn off the switch next to Set Automatically.

Step #4. Next up, you have to manually set the date and time.

Step #5. Now, reboot your iOS device. Press and hold the Home button and On/Off button at once for about ten seconds until you see Apple logo on the screen.

Note: On iPhone 7/7 Plus, you need to press and hold volume down button and ON/OFF buttons at once.

Solution #2: Make sure you have allowed the App Store to access your cellular/mobile data

If you are using mobile data, make sure the App Store has the access to it.

Step #1. Open Settings app → Tap on Mobile Data.

Step #2. Now, make sure that the switch next to App Store is toggled on.

Solution #3: Reset your device to Factory Settings

If you still haven’t got the solution to this problem, try resetting your device to the factory settings.

Step #1. Open Settings → Tap on General.
