Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 will supposedly rely on gesture controls for the tasks that are carried out by the home button in the current iPhone models. The functions include options such as navigating to the home screen and switching between apps.
Apple has already tested the gesture control on iPhone 8 with complete removal of the home button. Recent reports suggest that the possibility of removing virtual button has also been considered and most like executed already.
It has been reported that the final images of iPhone 8 have already surfaced and analysts have presented a conclusive report that more or less hint at the use of gesture controls. This is how the gesture control will supposedly work. There is a thin line on the screen of the device which needs to be dragged up to navigate to the home screen. A similar gesture will allow users to switch to multitasking window.
The feature will not be exclusive to iPhone 8 since the gesture control is imparted through iOS 11. The iOS 11 dock allows even the current iPhones to use the gesture control feature.
Apart from gesture control new reports also suggest that the iPhone 8 screen will blend perfectly with edges when the display is turned off. The edge-to-edge display of the device has been the talk of the town since the reports of next iPhone models started floating.
